Fundraiser-Sofima Alim's Funeral & family support

On January 3, 2020, my Aunt was involved in an accident while trying to break up a confrontation in her hometown of Donsol, Philippines.
While trying to intervene, she was shot and critically injured. Despite the best efforts of the community and medical response, Sofima Pedragosa Alim passed away a short time later. During the incident her surviving husband, Augosto Alim, was also seriously injured but is currently in recovery at a local medical facility.
Sofima, 35, leaves behind her 2 children (Zcharalayne, 10 years of age and Kurt, 6 years of age) and a husband. She was a kind soul, loving mother and cherished member of her community. The family will never be the same and the recovery process will be required from family and friends.
I grew up in the Philippines and my uncle (Augusto) is like a father to me. Our hearts are broken as we navigate this unimaginable event and attempt to find a way forward.
Augusto's family could use any and all the support in this very difficult time. Some of the costs that need to be covered are:
- Funeral expenses
- Medical expenses
- Food and care during recovery
- Offset lost income
- Family travel for support and funeral
