Fundraiser for PRHS ACT and MECHA Clubs

Hello- My name is Susana A. Lopez and I am a former Bearcat (class of 2001') and "Mechista" (PRHS MEChA member). I am also one of the co-chair of the Paso DEI Education Committee (along with Carey Alvord). Over the last two years, not only have we connected with many adults who value diversity like yourself but also with the amazing students who have demonstrated time and time again resilience, dedication, and a desire for a better world for all of us. We value their student voices and would like to support their efforts for more diverse events on campus but we need YOUR help! Their current budget is not enough. Please be part of this collective effort to celebrate, affirm and bring joy to the Latinx culture in our community!!

 

100% of the donations will be given to ACT and MEChA. They will be used for both the campus-wide baile and a community family event.

"Hi everyone, ACT Club (Activist Coalition of Tomorrow) and MEChA ( Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán) are putting on the very first COLLABORATIVE campuswide “Baile” at PRHS. A "Baile" is like a dance, but with a Hispanic touch to it. This event will help celebrate the 51% student body at PRHS that are Hispanic or/and Latino. There will be Hispanic music to dance to, food trucks, games, and so much more. This Baile will help to recognize our ever diverse campus and bring some inclusion to our school functions. This event will truly show more than half of our school that our culture is beautiful and should be shared with everyone on campus. Help us make this cultural celebration memorable.
