Fundraiser for James Edward McCormick IV Funeral

My name is Jim McCormick, and I am the father of James Edward McCormick IV. James was a wonderful husband to his beautiful wife Madison and a terrific father to his two children James V, two years old and his daughter Carolyn, six months old. Our son James passed away on Friday night, March 25th, at home due to very tragic circumstances. His tragedy, unfortunately, is all too well known by families across America; alcohol and substance issues. James struggled with these issues for several years and recently completed a stay at Samaritan Colony in Rockingham, N.C. Unfortunately, he relapsed and went farther down the abyss, which ultimately contributed to his death on March 25th. Due to his substance issues, James could not work and hold a job for very long. As parents, we held up his financial obligations the best we could, but this disease has also drained us financially.

As parents, burying your child is the most challenging thing we have had to do. Financially, this isn't even approachable for Madison and his two beautiful children. We are asking for community support to help offset these sudden costs to give James a proper end-of-life funeral.
