Fundraiser for James Bassett

Dear friends and family, 

  As many of you know, or are now learning, my brother James Bassett was involved in a devastating accident while at work back on July 30th. As a result of a massive explosion, my brother lost most of his left hand and palm except for part of his thumb and pinky.  Every bone in his hand was shattered and he had to have emergency surgery to reconstruct his hand and save what they could. Pins were put in to keep things in place after surgery.  James also suffered burns, cuts and bruises on his right hand, arms, stomach and legs along with a ruptured ear drums. He will be starting physical therapy soon with the end result to be fitted for a prosthetic glove.  Doctors say it will be at least a year of recovery in front of him so he’s got a long way to go still. Since the accident he hasn’t been able to work and we don’t know when he will be able to return. The cost of his day to day expenses are piling up and taking a toll on our family.  I’m asking that you please consider taking the time and helping out with a donation for my brother and keeping him in your thoughts and prayers!!
