Help A WWII Veteran Stay In His Home - 24/7 Care

Donation protected
WWII VETERAN NEEDS HELP TO STAY IN HIS HOME WITH 24/7 CARE Let me introduce my hero, my dad, Hans Eberlin.  He celebrated his 94th birthday on the 4th of July.  Dad is an Army Veteran of World War II, having served three years in the 85th Infantry Division as a 60 mm Mortarman.

He lives in his home that he built with his own two hands in 1950 in Orchard Park, NY (Western New York).  I am asking for donations to help keep dad living in his home instead of a nursing home which he always feared and never wanted for himself.

After the war, dad married his sweetheart, my mom, in 1950 and still resides in the home they built and raised a family together in.  Dad worked hard as a self-employed printer, provided for his family of 6 kids, and was active in his church and in his community with the Rotary Club.  Dad has been a widower since mom died of cancer in 1994.

Dad is now homebound and requires 24-hour home care which has been an expensive endeavor.  Dad’s health is impaired by having had several strokes, diabetes, and other health issues.  He has loving and caring Home Health Aides who help him with all of his activities of daily living.  He is not able to take care of himself or be left alone.   However, his finances are dwindling rapidly.  24-hour home care costs about $2100/week.  Dad receives his monthly social security and assistance from the Veterans Administration which total less than $3000/month.  For the last three years, dad has been spending his lifetime of savings on his home care and recently from money from the 2018 sale of his nearby lot of land.  I’m trying my hardest to keep dad home, but his money is projected to run out by Christmas time.

Dad always made it clear that he wished to remain in the home that he built nearly 70 years ago, and that is what we wish for him also.  On behalf of the Eberlin family, I would greatly appreciate any donations to help dad live out his days at home and continue to receive in-home care.  If you can donate, thank you for your generosity!  If you are not able to, I ask that you share this link with as many friends and family as you can to spread the word about my dad. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
