Fundraiser for Good Karma Pet Rescue

Hi, our names are Alessandra and Isabel. We are working on a school project to raise money for the non-profit organization Good Karma Pet Rescue ( Good Karma PR), which rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes homeless pets in South Florida. Saving animals from neglect, abuse, and euthanization is very important to us. We want to help Good Karma Pet Rescue continue its phenomenal work of taking great care of animals.

At the shelter, we met the most adorable dog named Paisley. According to her walker, Paisley came from an abusive home; her owner’s boyfriend beat her with broomsticks and other objects. Paisley became aggressive, terrified, and lonely. Soon after, they gave her to a relative, who later surrendered Paisley to the Good Karma PR. The manager said that “ Paisley was mortified when she first came here; she was growling and whimpering; we barely got her to come outside her kennel.” Paisley felt scared that she would be abused and mistreated again, but Good Karma PR was loving and kind. They gave Paisley treats and food, plenty of walks and playtime, and lots of cuddles!! Paisley began to trust the staff at Good Karma PR and was visibly more content. Come this May, it will be a whole year that Paisley has been in the shelter, longing for someone who understands her to take her home. Will you be that person?

Our goal is to raise at least $500 to help Good Karma PR purchase items such as dog and cat food, leashes and collars, blankets and towels, and other items essential for the quality care of pets. If we could find a loving home for Paisley, that would be the icing on the cake!
