Cindy Lou’s Memorial Fund

At the end of January our beautiful mother, who is also a grandmother, wife, sister, cousin and friend to so many discovered that she had stage 4 small cell lung cancer. After more testing they also discovered that the cancer had already spread to her liver. This was extremely devastating to us all. In December of 2018 we had just watched our grandmother, her mother suffer and lose her life to this horrible wretched disease and then in 2019 she also lost her best friend. Before that she had watched numerous family members and friends succumb to this dreadful illness. So this journey has been extremely frightening for her and us all, but she has been trying so very hard to remain hopeful and optimistic through it all.

Recently she started having severe back pain to the point where she was unable to walk without a cane. After having another scan they found that the cancer has now spread to her spine. This was yet another difficult pill to swallow, but still she is remaining positive and determined to beat this monster! Cancer does not know what it’s up against because she is the definition of a fighter.

This woman has experienced so much pain and suffering in her life, she has cheated death numerous times in the past and right now she is up for the biggest fight of her life, but everyone who knows her knows that if anyone can beat this, it’s her! If you were to see her you would never believe that she has stage 4 lung cancer because she still looks as fabulous as the day she found out in January! She is such a selfless fun loving free spirit that is so full of life, and cares very deeply for her family and friends. The love she has for us all, and the love she receives is what’s keeping her going strong. She is loved and needed by so many, and her strength is truly an inspiration to us all!

She is not the type to ask for help, she would much rather be the helper. She has been a loving and shining light for so many people in her life and right now we are asking for your help on her behalf. The last thing any of us want is for her and our Dad to have to worry financially during this emotional and painful time. There are medical expenses that her insurance will not cover and there are numerous things she is going to need to help her win this fight. For instance right now she is in desperate need of a power lift recliner, and eventually a ramp will need to be built so she can get in and out of her home.

Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we are unable to have a benefit for her so anything you can donate will be helpful and truly appreciated. We just want her to be able to focus on beating this thing without any added stress. She has been there for so many during their times of need and now she needs some helpers to be there during hers.
