Fundraiser for a DJ, printing, speakers and more!

Hi! I'm Sharan Dhaliwal, the editor of Burnt Roti magazine, and we're looking to hold a party for the South Asian trans and non-binary community. We want to give them a platform to be celebrated and loved since the release of our last issue in 2012.

The party is on 28 Feb 2023 at Glass House London.

We are sold out with free tickets - we don't want to celebrate with a charge for the community!

We have sponsorship from Dishoom (paying for venue costs), LVNDR (covering some printing), editaudio (covering henna artist and one speaker fee).

Reaching out to more people, I've come up with unfortunate emails where people are unable to help. The funding usually comes out of my pocket, but as I haven't had much work the past year due to being away, there's isn't much there to pay for extras.

What I need:

Another £100 for printing - we are printing images from the cover stars of the last issue to display around the venue.

£400 for speakers - we have one confirmed and are hoping for two more with funding.

£400 for a DJ - we have reached out to a South Asian DJ who we want at the party.

£300 for a photographer - we have reached out to one and this is the accepted fee.

£400 for decorations - we are covering the venue in marigolds and materials.

£460 for magazine printing - we need 100 more copies to sell at the event (all proceeds go to trans charities).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
