Pure in Heart is a Catholic charity run by young people for young people, offering an engaging and balanced presentation to adolescents that promote a healthy attitude towards love and relationships.
We are at a financial crossroads at Pure in Heart. We have many opportunities and projects for this coming year and we need your financial help. We are at a deficit of €2,100 each month and we need to raise €25,000 to cover day to day costs of running Pure in Heart for the coming year. We rely 100% on donations to keep us going so we really need YOUR help.
Projects and plans for this year:
1. Our exciting project for this year is that we are starting to develop a presentation suitable for primary school pupils aimed at 5th and 6th class with the launch in Sept 2020.
2. We are creating engaging and exciting online content, including blogs, podcasts and updating social media including Facebook and Instagram.
3. We offer a wide range of social events for young people aged between 18-35years and we organize a prayer meeting every Thursday evening at 23 Merrion Square, Dublin with rosary, mass, confessions, adoration, a talk, and fellowship.
4. We offer an engaging and balanced presentation encouraging young people to become the best version of themselves, by promoting self-worth, a positive self- image and providing the necessary skills to build lasting relationships. We focus on the inherent dignity of the human person and how we can channel our natural desires toward authentic love and make good choices about relationships. We proclaim the richness of marriage and family, the virtue of chastity and the dignity of every human life. We address the deeper meaning of sex and the complementarity of masculinity and femininity.
This presentation is suitable for secondary school pupils, parish youth groups and young people. Each presentation is made appropriate to specific age groups and the level of development of the students.
5. We do a radio show biweekly on Radio Maria every Tuesday from 4-5pm
6. We do an annual retreat and pilgrimage during the year to help build up the community.
