Funding Ján Pavol's recovery from brain tumour

The lives of the Taliga family have been devastated by the heartbreaking news that 14-year-old Jan Pavol has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Numerous communities in Windsor, southwestern Ontario, and homeland Slovakia were shocked and disheartened that such an intelligent, articulate and hard-working youngster would be faced with unbearable severe headaches and subsequent ER Hospital visit on March 18, 2021 in which Jan Pavol was told “ after all, it was good that you came, you have a brain tumor. You have to be transferred to London’s hospital tonight.” Jan Pavol’s parents Jan and Daniela immediately reached out to everyone to start praying. They need a Miracle!
Jan-Pavol was an incredibly special child from the moment he was born. When he was 5 months old, he started speaking and when he was 7 months old, he started walking. At that time his cousin was born and his cousin was seriously ill. From that moment on, Jan Pavol would take care of his little cousin. After each surgery his cousin had to have, Jan Pavol was there to bring a smile to his face and he made everything instantly more bearable and better, pure miracle. We always asked Jan-Pavol to be matured beyond his age and he always delivered.
On April 7, 2021, a pediatric neurosurgeon and her team performed surgery to remove the tumor. Regretfully, the surgery is not enough. In addition to extensive chemotherapy, radiation, and physiotherapy, his treatment will involve proton radiation, a treatment not available in Canada. This requires Jan Pavol, little brother Daniel and his parents to relocate initially for two months to Jacksonville Florida. They have checked in at the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute today, Friday, April 30, 2021.
Jan-Pavol's treatment will require prolong period, his parents face the challenges of greatly reduced income, Daniela will be out of work for about one year. Jan is initially taking two months off work. Furthermore, not all treatments are covered by OHIP. While the length of this journey remains unknown, what is known is that he will not be walking it alone. His magnetic personality and pure heart have naturally attracted others around him who will be walking this journey with him.

Život rodiny Taligovcov spustošila srdcervúca správa, že 14-ročnému Janovi Pavlovi diagnostikovali nádor na mozgu. Početné komunity vo Windsore na juhozápade Ontária a na Slovensku boli šokované a skľúčené, že taký inteligentný, artikulovany a pracovitý mladík bude čeliť neznesiteľným silným bolestiam hlavy. Pocas navstevy nemocnice, pohotovostneho oddelenie -18. marca 2021, bolo povedané Jánovi Pavlovi: „ koniec koncov bolo dobré, že si prišiel, máš nádor na mozgu. Dnes v noci vás musia previesť do londýnskej nemocnice. “ Rodičia Jana Pavla, Jan a Daniela, okamžite všetkých oslovili, aby sa začali modliť. Potrebujú zázrak!
Jan-Pavol bol od narodenia nesmierne jedinecnym dieťaťom. Keď mal 5 mesiacov, začal rozprávať a keď mal 7 mesiacov, začal chodiť. V tom čase sa narodil jeho bratranec a jeho bratranec bol ťažko chorý. Od tej chvíle sa Jan Pavol staral o svojho malého bratranca. Po každej operácii, ktorú musel jeho bratranec podstúpiť, bol tu Jan Pavol, ktorý mu vyčaril úsmev na tvári, a okamžite urobil všetko znesiteľnejšíe a lepšíe, čistý zázrak. Velmi casto sme od Jana-Pavla požiadali, aby bol ovela viac vyspely na svoj vek, a on to vzdy dokazal.
7. apríla 2021 urobila detská neurochirurgka a jej tím chirurgický zákrok na odstránenie nádoru. Operácia, bohužiaľ, nestačí. Okrem rozsiahlej chemoterapie, ožarovania a fyzioterapie bude jeho liečba zahŕňať protónové žiarenie, ktoré v Kanade nie je k dispozícii. To si vyžaduje, aby sa Jan Pavol, malý brat Daniel a jeho rodičia presťahovali na dva mesiace do Jacksonville, Florida. V piatok 30. apríla 2021 sa zaregistrovali v UF Health Proton Therapy Institute, USA.
Liečba Jana-Pavla si bude vyžadovať dlhšie obdobie, jeho rodičia čelia výrazne zníženému príjmu, Daniela bude bez práce asi jeden rok. Jan si spočiatku berie dva mesiace voľna z práce. Okrem toho OHIP (zdravotna poistovna) nekryje všetky liečby, ktore Jan-Pavol podstupi. Aj keď dĺžku tejto cesty nevieme, co vieme je, že na nej nebude Jan-Pavol sám. Jeho magnetická osobnosť a čisté srdce prirodzene priťahovali ostatných ludi okolo seba, ktorí s ním budú kráčať po tejto ceste.
Prispejte prosím Jánovi Pavlovi, aby bolo možné jeho úplné zotavenie. Všetky prostriedky budú použité s ohľadom na tento cieľ.
