Jamie's ALS Fight

Dear Friends,

As many of you know, Jamie was diagnosed with ALS in February 2018. Since then, he has fought valiantly along with his wife, Ann, and their families. Together, they have persevered in hope, even against the tough odds of this disease. 

Until very recently, Ann has rendered Jamie's care with the help of family and friends.  However, his needs have now reached a point where extra help in the form of professional in-home caregiving is needed. This care is not covered by health insurance. 

Ann and Jamie desperately wish to keep him at home where he is most at-ease. Unfortunately, we live in a country with a badly broken healthcare system in which in-home nursing and caregiving services are largely or completely out-of-pocket, even for diseases like ALS. 

Friends, we ask that you support Ann and Jamie as they continue to live with this disease. No one should have to bear the burden of such an illness AND the fear of financial ruin, but unfortunately, this is the reality of our current healthcare system.
