Funding free education for the poor in Pakistan

My name is Saad U. Anjum, and my family and I are dedicated to supporting children in Pakistan through education. We’ve established Dar-e-Rehmat-Anjum School, a charitable institution that provides completely free education to children from families struggling with poverty — families who otherwise couldn’t afford to send their children to school.

Our school is a registered charity trust in Pakistan, and we currently teach children from Reception up to Year 5. Alongside paying teachers’ salaries, we provide students with essentials like books, uniforms, shoes, cardigans, stationery, and other necessities to ensure these children have everything they need to attend school without burdening their families. We also run projects that help these children build key life and interpersonal skills — empowering them not just academically, but socially as well.

Having roots in Pakistan, my family and I have seen firsthand the struggles these families face — parents working tirelessly just to put food on the table, with education often seen as an unaffordable luxury. Our goal is to change that. By giving these children access to free education, we hope to provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to break free from the cycle of poverty and build brighter futures.

We are fortunate to have some generous donors who regularly support our school on a monthly or annually basis, but as we continue to welcome more students each year, we need additional support to meet growing costs and expand our resources.
