Raising money to move 14 ponies to new premises

Hi my name is Laura. I am a mum of 3 children aged 12, 10 and 9. 

5 years ago I set up my own little stable yard. I took out a loan and with the help of my 17 year old nephew we worked really hard to build a lovely yard for myself and the kids to enjoy.  

Since then the yard, although still only small with just 4 stables, has grown into a sanctuary  for many children and parents to come and be around horses. 

I have 14 horses and ponies who are shared by many children from our local village. Sharing a pony is just like having your very own without the commitment and financial burden that would be almost impossible for many of the families, who ride with me, to afford. 

This is not a profitable business at all and I just about break even. However, the joy it brings me when the children are with the ponies is priceless.  To see the joy it brings them, many of whom are fighting their own little battles away from the yard, it’s just so heart warming. 

Sadly though we are about to lose our grazing and have to relocate somewhere else. This will involve the major task of removing everything I have built over the last 5 years. 

I really don’t want to have to give up what brings so many children so much happiness. But the reality is, I just can’t afford to start from scratch. I have a great team of parents who I know will do everything they can to help with the move. However, even with this help it’s still going to cost in excess of £20,000 to rebuild at the new premises. 

I know there are thousands of more worth while causes out there. However, by donating just a few pounds you will be making a huge difference to some very talented little riders who may very well turn out to be Great Britain’s next Olympic stars if given the chance.
