My name is John Wyche. I'm the writer-director of the short "Zaza's Channel". I have to thank everyone that has supported me up until this point. Zaza's channel is the story of a couple, Teddy and Nicole. Nicole runs her own "onlyfans-esque" page. One evening she and Teddy discuss the prospect of them making a sex tape for content on her page. Teddy reacts the way I think most men would, myself included. "Yeah, for sure." "I'm sex-posy," "I've always been supportive of my girl's sex work" "I'm ready to start my porn star career," "I'm going to look amazing naked," "I couldn't say no to this if I wanted to." Therein lies the problem, Teddy agrees without thinking as we move toward the moment of truth. It becomes evident that Teddy doesn't want to do this. The tensions lie in whether he'll do the truly courageous thing: Admit to his girl that he isn't comfortable, or will he do the very dumb, very male thing of going along with it and hoping for the best.

I'd say the tone for this film is a cross between Booty Call and Melancholia. It starts as a fun sex comedy; it ends as an anxiety-riddled cringe comedy counting down toward Teddy's impending doom.

It's a story of boundaries, trusting your partner, insecurity, and the importance of communication in every human relationship.
