Don protégé
Meet the Jimenez family! As one of the millions of families that have fled violence, poverty and persecution in their home country of Venezuela, they arrived in Denver with their three children (ages 7, 8 and 13) a few weeks ago. They are living in a motel near DIA, but they will be evicted in two weeks when their hotel vouchers expire. The are already making preparations to sleep on the streets, but I can't let that happen.
I have already found an apartment that is willing to take this family, but I need to supply the deposit and first/last month's rent. In addition, I need funds for legal assistance and application fees for their work permits. They are trying desperately to go through all the proper legal immigration channels, but it is not easy to navigate. I'm asking for help raising funds to secure their housing and work permits, so they can achieve their dream of becoming self-sufficient American citizens. They are wonderful, kind and hard-working people who just want the opportunity to create a better life for their children.
Thank you in advance for any support you can provide!
