Help Bedridden Puerto Rican Seniors
Donation protected
As we all know, Puerto Rico was devastated by the recent hurricane. Our VMI classmate, Ed Vazquez-Bruno, is a healthcare professional in Puerto Rico. Several days ago, Ed contacted his VMI “Brother Rats” to inform us of the desperate plight of 18 bedridden Puerto Rican senior citizens who live at Hogar Manantial de Vida, a home owned by Col. (Ret) Margarita Aponte. Col. Aponte is a former Army nurse and a veteran of the Gulf and Iraq Wars. They are without electricity in the sweltering heat and are in desperate need of a 14kw dual fuel generator. Our goal is to raise at least $5000 to purchase the generator and have it delivered to Col. Aponte’s house. I know Col. Aponte, the senior citizens, and Ed will be most grateful for any assistance they receive during this terribly difficult time.
