Two devoted Ludlow-Taylor ES community members have recently been diagnosed with cancer and need our help.
Our beloved Ms. Powell has recently begun chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer. Her strength and positivity have truly been inspiring and as a community we are going to support her and her recovery every step of the way. Ms. Powell has been an integral part of our Ludlow-Taylor family as a support staff-member for over 10 years and as we know, is dedicated to her work and the well-being of our entire community. She is always ready to share a smile with students, families and colleagues. Outside of school, she loves traveling, movies and enjoys having fun with her family and friends. She has one son (22 years old) and one daughter (13 years old). She recently returned to school to finish her degree in HR Management and is looking forward to earning her Masters.
Ms. Hall has been a LTES after school paraprofessional since 2016. She is very creative and enjoys special projects; plays, trips to the library, adventures to Union Station, birthday celebrations, and trolley rides with her students. She has been with the same group of students through 1st grade. American Sign Language is her speciality, just ask the children; they can even order drinks at Starbucks using ASL. In November 2019, she underwent surgery to remove a cancerous sarcoma. The fight, however, continues: she is about to undergo 6 months of chemotherapy and radiation. She has not missed one day due to her dedication to her job. She a true fighter, who puts her friends and family first. She is married and has one son.
