Hi, all. This is Jackie.
As most of you already know, my beloved big brother, Brandon, passed away early Sunday afternoon. He passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded in a home full of familial love. My family and I cannot express the tremendous amount of grief we are experiencing through this tough time. Losing a sibling is a pain like no other. For my parents, losing a child has to feel even worse. Brandon was and always will be such a light in our lives. He was my only brother, and the only person I could really count on to truly protect my family and I. We appreciate the constant love, support, and condolences anyone and everyone has sent our way. You do not understand how much it means to us.
Why I Started This Fund
Because no one could ever be prepared for something like this to happen, my family and I have suddenly been left to pay my brother’s funeral expenses. This time is already as devastating as it can be. Without time to even heal from the loss of our Brandon, the burden of such expensive services (such as a church and viewing) has taken a toll on all of us. All we ever wanted was the best for Brandon. He was someone I could count on, someone willing to help, and someone who cared immensely...always. He was the kindest, sweetest, most genuine soul. And we miss him so much. As a family, we thank you all for your prayers and continue to ask that you pray for us. By creating this fund, I hope many of you who loved Brandon can donate to lay my sweet brother to rest. Anything helps, and we will forever be thankful for what can be given. I know that Brandon, who always was so optimistic about everything, would appreciate every penny. I mean just look at him. He’s such a beautiful soul.
This tragedy hit us so suddenly and has now left all of us with a void in our hearts. It’s painful. And it will be painful for the rest of our lives. We just thank God for the wonderful years he did give us with Brandon. He was an angel on Earth and no one could ever replace my big brother. He was someone you could only meet once in your life, and we are beyond glad we were able to grow and learn with him throughout the 25+ wondrous years God gave us with him. As I mentioned, anything helps. I know you are all grieving and feeling this pain with us. Brandon was and always will be unforgettable. We love him so much and know he will always be by our side. Every step of the way, he will be there. I just hope this all brings us closer together as we learn to cherish his memory and find our way through this new life without my eldest sibling. Stay safe.
