Nikki's Cancer Fight

My name is Nikki and I am 22 years old. I was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer. A week before Thanksgiving, my mother and I were in a car accident. When we went to the hospital to be checked out and to make sure we were okay, the doctors made a discovery of a thyroid nodule in my neck. They told me to follow up with my primary about it. Once I went to my family doctor, he ordered an ultra sound to be done on my neck just to be safe. He said that thyriod nodules are actually very common and they are typically fluid filled like a cyst. Once the results came back from the ultrasound, I was told that the nodule is solid and I also had enlarged lymph nodes in my neck.  It was recommended that I have a biopsy performed. So I had the biopsy performed and when the results came back, I was told I have thyroid cancer. The course of treatment is surgery to remove the thyroid and surrounding lymph nodes and a possible chance of doing radiation for treatment as well.  My health insurance deductible is very high and I need help paying it plus any other medical expenses that come. My family and I appreicate anything that is given and will forever be thankful.
