Are you interested in showing your support to Alberta nurses and doctors, while also supporting local restaurants that have had to temporarily close?
You've come to the right place!
The purpose of this go fund me page is THREEFOLD
1) WE WILL RAISE MONEY FOR GIFT CARDS AS A THANK YOU FOR ALBERTA HEALTH WORKERS. We are in contact with AHS and they will help us distribute them. Every dollar raised will go directly to these hard working humans, who are saving lives, in the form of local gift cards.
2) WE WILL SUPPORT YYC RESTAURANTS AND CAFES THAT ARE STRUGGLING BECAUSE OF CURRENT CLOSURES. We are working with our friends at Mealshare (a local non-profit that works with restaurants to donate meals to children in need) and will be using their list of restaurants and cafes. We will use every dollar raised to purchase gift cards directly from these local restaurants and cafes who are Mealshare partners.
3) WE WILL SUPPORT MEALSHARE. Every restaurant and cafe we will be purchasing gift cards from, is a Mealshare partner, which means that when AHS employees eventually use the gift cards to buy Mealshare items at these restaurants, Mealshare will donate meals to children in need.
