Fuel Evelee's Life-Changing Therapy Trip

Hi! We're Adriann and Lee, childhood friends of Jenessa, and Evelee's "honorary aunts." We're raising funds for Jenessa's daughter Evelee to be able to travel to North Carolina for physical and occupational therapy that her doctors believe is crucial to her development. Funds raised will help cover the cost of the program, gas, lodging, food and related expenses for Jenessa, Grandma Shari and little Evelee to make the life-changing journey.

About Evelee: She's a gregarious toddler living in Atlanta, Georgia with her mom, Jenessa, her grandma Shari, and her pooch, Cooper. Evelee has a very rare neurological genetic disorder that causes developmental delays, speech and feeding difficulties, intellectual disabilities, epilepsy and autism. While it's too soon to know if Evelee will experience all of these symptoms, she's had many of them already. She's had seizures since three months of age that have affected her quality of life as well as developmental delays. She's recently spent four months in the Children's Hospital of Atlanta, Scottish Rite.

That's why getting to her treatment in North Carolina is so important. She's been accepted into the "All Kids Are Perfect" program (allkidsareperfect.com) in Cary, NC. But, in order to take advantage of this incredible opportunity, Jenessa has to pay for it out of pocket and she also needs help with transportation and lodging. These two weeks of intensive physical and occupational therapy would allow her to regain much of the advancements she has lost and push her toward her goal of full head control, rolling from all positions, sitting independently, and eventually standing and walking.

Evelee regains skills quickly as seen from having consistent PT, OT, and speech therapy while in the hospital. We’re sure if given this opportunity for outpatient therapy, she will be able to catch back up and be on track by her second birthday.
