Fue fundraisers, Wes and Kait need your help now.

As many of you are aware, Wes Brown and Kait Marie set up FuerteAid during lockdown to help the island when people were going through tough times and helped so many people. They bought such joy to the island whilst doing it also!

Unfortunately, they are now in the position where they need help themselves. As an island community, we need and we need to rally and support them.

Kait was 28 weeks pregnant when she experienced an illness and contracted infections, causing Mason-Jay to be brought into the world prematurely by emergency cesarean section.

Little Mason-Jay was resuscitated on birth as his lungs failed and didn't receive oxygen. He was emergency flown to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria in the middle of Tuesday night and had to be put in an induced coma. He is now in the special unit in a coma and breathing apparatuses in place.

He weighs just 2.3lbs and his organs including heart,lungs,kidneys,

Liver and pancreas are all underdeveloped. There is no telling as of yet if he has suffered any neurological damage due to loss of oxygen. Doctors are hopeful but they have also said he needs a lot of special care.

Understandably both Mum and Dad are really anxious about the situation. Although Kait has a lot of recovering to do, all they want is to be with their new baby and his siblings. As a result neither will be able to work as they juggle looking after the children at home and the continual visits to Gran Canaria to see little Mason-Jay.

These are the guys that supported this whole island in its darkest times it is now our time to give back to this lovely family that are watching their little tiny baby fight for his life on another island to them and the rest of their family.
