Trip For My Best Friend

My best friend Lia (right) is the most wonderful human on the planet. She is academically gifted, talented on her few instruments, and excels in all paths of life. She has a good head on her shoulders- taking care of her siblings (as she is the oldest) while battling homework and Hypoglycemia, all while alone at her house with her siblings. She’s kind, caring, inspiring, and wants to become a pediatric doctor when she’s older. I say all this because despite her talents and intelligence, Lia lacks many opportunities handed to her because of her family’s lack of financial stability, as her mother is a single parent and has three children all with medical conditions, such as Type I Diabetes, Celiac Disease, and Hypoglycemia. Lia has been handed the opportunity to march in Disney World with the Brenham High School marching band. Lia has raised a few funds, but as her and her siblings medical conditions, her family’s food, and house bills, among other personal things, begin to pile up, Lia’s mother does not have the funds to gift her oldest this amazing opportunity.  As her best friend, Lia has helped me in all ways, and I want her to be able to have this opportunity with her as it is my last year in the Brenham High School marching band. Lia means the world to me and I want to be able to spend time with her and give her an opportunity of a lifetime, as she hasn’t been out of state before and the band is like her other family. This trip means the world to her and as her best friend, I want to be able to help. So please, anything will help— $20, $15, less— please help me give my best friend the ability to spend time with her friends and her other family. Thank you so much for your time.
