Shuttle to SAVE Homeless Dogs in TX
By the city of Houston's own estimates; there are 1.2 million homeless animals. Shelters and rescue groups are beyond full. Hundreds of dogs are put to sleep every day here.
While the big picture resolution is spay/ neuter/ rescue/ adopt/ educate; the immediate need to is find good homes for these homeless dogs. In just the past few months alone, along with a small group of dedicated volunteers we have been able to save over 100 dogs simply by working with 2 rescue groups in Wisconsin.
Fortunately Wisconsin does not have this crisis and there are so many wonderful, loving adoptive and foster homes anxiously waiting to help. Our goal is to have our very own vehicle to transport these dogs to their new lives and off the streets. We have been renting a cargo van the last 4 trips and it is very expensive. If we had our own van, we could make more trips and save more lives! All of the trips we have made; we had more homes than room to bring dogs. We could also use the van in Houston to take dogs to get spayed and neutered, several at a time. Anything helps and is so much appreciated!
