Help for sweet Bean

A couple of weeks ago Bean was just settling in to enjoy a long weekend in his yard. Rapidly our sweet boy seemed to come down with something. Starting with lethargy and quickly progressing to coughing, puking, diarrhea, swollen lymph nodes, and cloudy eyes accompanied by discharge. After a vet exam, we tried an antibiotic to see if it was a simple upper respiratory infection before ordering any tests. After no improvement his first round of tests was ordered. Then after a long 2 weeks full of diagnostics we fast forward to today, despite countless tests and a few thousand in vet bills, Beans liver is failing on him and he’s now Jaundice. As of right now there is no answer to what could have caused this or what his body is fighting.
Bean has been admitted to an Emergency Hospital in Langford, WAVES. He’s on an IV of fluids and new round of meds. Our next step as sad as it is, relies heavily on financial capability. We’re currently struggling keeping up with the bills as we’ve put a lot into diagnostics already. Since we still have no answers and have the possibility of a surgery, we are now attempting every option we can think of to get Bean better and back home!
About our boy: Bean is a Red Nose Pitty/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, he’s 3 and a half. 100% lapdog and cuddle bug. He is the sweetest bean with a lovely demeanour, he loves to make new friends, and he loves to fetch his ball more than anything. We want nothing more than to throw his ball for him again. So far in his life he’s been a very healthy, happy dog, if he can get through this we believe he’s got a long happy life ahead of him.
