From the Ashes of the Alameda Fire

Donation protected
Ron, Juggy, and Shelby lost their home to the Alameda Fire that swept the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon. We were evacuated with a moment’s notice and an armful of valuables. We are so thankful we made it out, unhurt and together.

Our home was situated on a hill in Talent, OR, with land ripe for growth. It was a calm, warm spot and we were really hoping to build our future there.

Ron and I share a love for art and both had curated a special collection of pieces: paintings and precious prints; my collection of rare books; Ron’s glass blowing equipment/supplies and many amazing finished pieces; and, unfortunately, various irreplaceable heirlooms. We are grieving our losses but it’s okay! Those things were awesome things that existed and now they don’t. We’ve both experienced life-threatening and life-taking trauma in the last few years and this time we made it out unscathed. Our concern now is the future.

The west coast is our home and disasters wreaking havoc here (shoot, everywhere) are very overwhelming. This fire was a devastating wound to our corner of the world, yet our community has been wonderfully supportive.

We are safe and held. Resources are scarce these days, but, if you can spare it, any help to us or our community means the world.

Thank you, we love you all and our hearts are very full ❤
