From home simulator to real racing

Hello, Legends!

My name is Pablo Araujo. I’m a part-time simracing streamer and also an NHS worker at Brighton Hospital.

Since I was a child I have always dreamed of being a rally driver. Unfortunately, it is a very expensive sport and I never managed to afford enough to be able to compete.

Now I want to give the real thing a go and try to make my dream come true. I aim to livestream every step of my way and to share this adventure with everyone!

My Story:

As a young child, I always loved to play around with cars and my earliest memories of rallying was watching Carlos Sainz in his Xsara WRC sliding around in the gravel on TV. It was incredible to see, at that age, a “road car” able to corner and reach insane speeds whilst off-road! From that point onwards I was an avid fan of rallying, hooked to the TV watching as much as I could. Later in life, I got my hands on my first rally game, “Rally Championship 2000”, where I was able to learn a lot about the dynamics of rallying. Many hours were spent playing that game on my keyboard as a young teen.

At the age of 18, I got my driving license and I still remember that day like it was yesterday! With my Mother’s 55 hp Peugeot 205, I began to learn more about the mechanics of cars in general whilst working in my garage, I started to assist in car meetings, and travel to countless rally stages to watch these wild WRC machines in person.

A few years later I was able to land my first job with the aim of at some point later in life I could afford to buy a rally car, sadly a big economic crisis in Spain changed my plans and I decided to move to the UK in hopes of finding a better future. I had to leave behind my family and friends. It was daunting, to say the least.

Whilst living here in the coastal city of Brighton, I kept my passion for motorsports through driving in racing simulators. I started to stream my races with the intention of improving my rather broken English. Over many years of consistently streaming, I somehow managed to grow an amazing community, participate in some of the most prestigious sim-racing events, and meet incredible people from across the world who share the same passion for motorsports.

How your funds will be used:

- Purchase a cheap used rally car that is ready to race!

- Equipment required for live streaming our adventures with our rally car!

Once I have everything ready I hope to find some sponsors to help me to cover part of the maintenance costs and fees to participate in the various rallies we wish to enter!
