From Evacuation to Devastation

Donation protected
Hi family and friends,

I am reaching out to you because I've recently started a GoFundMe for my mother, Jennifer Lee. My mom is a resident of Castle Hayne, suburb of Wilmington, who recently evacuated due to Hurricane Florence.  When she returned she was devasted to find her fence ruined, trees down and upon entering her house she literally found it in shambles. The shingles and parts of her roof were missing from her home exposing all her appliances, furniture, belongings, family heirlooms,  clothes, cherished pictures, and eveything she once proudly displayed to the elements of Hurricane Florence. Due to high winds and torrential rainfall her ceiling collapsed, exposing wires, dropping sheet rock and pink insulation to the ground covering everything in its path.  The floors buckled, cabinets ripped off walls and everything in it remains wet, musty and moldy. The house was deemed "unlivable".   She has been denied FEMA relief and as she eargerly awaits her insurance claims to be processed, she is homeless and has gone into great financial debt.  For the past 2 weeks, she has resided with local friends and her car. Unfortunately, she is unable to stay with myself or family out of state as insurance has required her to stay close while all insurance inspections are conducted. As her daughter,  I feel compelled to help her in anyway I can.

If you could support my GoFundMe on behalf of my mother, Jennifer Lee, by making a donation and then sharing it with your network, I would greatly appreciate it. I know money can be tight, so please know that even $ 5 gets me closer to the goal of helping my mom out. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to answer them.

Any raised funds would go directy to helping my mom pay her insurance deductible on her home, tree removal, fence repair, supplies to help her salvage any items she can from the house (numerous big plastic containers, gloves, masks, tarps, bleach) clothes replacement as she only evacuated with 1 weeks worth of clothes and rent for an apartment for next several weeks until insurance proceeds are made available.

Any help would be so much appreciated. Thank you!
