Lawrence Dufrene Burn Recovery Fund

On Sunday, October 15th, a platform in Lake Pontchartrain where our friend, Lawrence Dufrene, was working exploded in flames.  Lawrence was severely injured, suffering burns to 35% of his body, including his face, chest and arms.   He is expected to have a lengthy recovery time.   His fiance and family have been at his side at the hospital located 2 hours away from their homes. 
       We all know that missing work and being away from home for extended periods creates a lot of additional expenses for the victim of the accident as well as his family.      Travel expenses and missed wages often compound the trauma when something like this strikes a family.   The intention of this campaign is to raise money to cover expenses that Lawrence and his family have as a result of this horrible accident.     
       Although we do hope that the majority of Lawrence's medical expenses will be paid by his employer's insurance company, we also know that help  is not always there right away when it's needed the most and does not extend to the out-of-pocket costs for family and friends to be with him.
      Lawrence has always been the guy that helps us when we need someone.   Let's help him now by coming together as a community to provide the support he needs to get through this difficult time and for his family to help bring our friend home to us!   Any amount helps and all money collected will be deposited directly into Lawrence's bank account as a gift from "Friends of LT".
