Friends of Salinas Puerto Rico

In Fall 1979 a bunch of us met at the University of Delaware and formed friendships for life.  One of those in our group is Juan Vega-Galante.  Juan hails from Salinas, PR.  We taught each other about our cultures and quickly learned our caommon interests went well beyond our differences.  Juan's father even sponsored our softball team by sending us jerseys from the family business, Salinas Lumber Yard.  After college Juan returned home to run this business in Salinas.  Until recently.  Salinas Lumber Yard has been devastated along with the Vega's upstairs home and most of the entire town.  Our goal is to make a direct donation to this family and town to help them rebuild their lives and their town and to let them know that their fellow Americans are there for them.
