Unite to Help Robin & Joe!

Donation protected
Joe & Robin have 4 children, 1 grandson, and 2 granddaughters on the way.  Joe is an RN (Registered Nurse); Robin works at Jason's Deli in the catering dept, in addition to being a full-time Mom & Grandma.

On April 18th, 2019 life changed in a major way for Joe & Robin!  Joe was at the hospital where he works when he began to experience chest pains and thought he was having a heart attack.  His coworkers took him down to the Emergency Dept to get evaluated.  Robin was called and came to meet him at the ER.

That is when life changed with more questions than answers for Robin, Joe and their family.

A FaceBook post was made to let family & friends know that Joe was in the hospital; within moments, hundreds of people all over the world began praying for Joe, Robin and their family & also for the Doctors, Nurses, and hospital staff who were caring for Joe.

The Doctors determined that he hadn’t had a heart attack, but because of the Lab test results, they found other medical issues that required immediate attention.  From April 18th to April 25th, Joe’s body went through a lot!  He had two (2) hospitalizations, a heart catheterization where they found multiple blocked arteries, two (2) endoscopies that revealed he had several bleeding ulcers which they cauterized, and he received six (6) units of blood.  He will still have to have Open Heart surgery to fix the blocked arteries.

On April 21st, the Cardiologist told Joe that his body would need to heal for 4-6 weeks before they could perform the Open Heart surgery.  Another shoe dropped when he was told that he cannot lift more than 5 to 7 pounds for a few weeks so his body can heal and to avoid any more internal bleeding.  With this news, his employer informed Joe that he could not return to work until after the Open Heart surgery and recovery.

Joe became a permanent, full-time employee at the end of March, 2019, so he has no sick, personal, or vacation accrued time to use.  He had previously been a contract worker at the same hospital.  Good news – Joe’s boss has assured him that he will still have his job after he is fully recovered from his Open Heart surgery.  Bad news, Joe will be off work, without any income, for at least 3 to 4 months.  Robin has a job, but when Joe has his surgery, she will need to be off work, to be with Joe to help him as he recovers.

The biggest need & worry that Robin & Joe have is how they will meet the obligations for housing payment, utilities, groceries, insurance (health, home, and auto) and other expenses that come up during this time.  We haven’t pried or asked them what their monthly expenses total, so we are probably low on the goal that has been set.

The purpose of this Go-Fund-Me campaign is to help relieve Joe & Robin of as much financial burden as possible so they can focus on Joe’s surgery & recovery and not stress about their finances.

Any & all donations, regardless of the amount, will be of great help to the family and deeply appreciated!  Please pray for Joe’s surgery & recovery.  Also, please share this campaign with others!  Joe & Robin need our help!  Let’s show them what we can do when we come together in support of one another.
