Friends of Jerry Stone Benefit

A group friends and family of Jerry Stone are putting together a benefit in November 2019 to help Jerry with his medical expenses. Jerry has a very rare type of Sarcoma cancer that is a fast, rapidly growing cancer. We are asking others to join us by becoming an event sponsor, visit our Go Fund Me page, donating to our benefit, catering, or providing a place the hold the event.
In April of 2016 Jerry began his battle with Sarcoma cancer when he found a lump on his right knee while preparing for knee replacement surgery. He began treat at Roswell Park and underwent surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. Eventually the Sarcoma would travel to his lungs sending him back for 3 more surgeries, more chemotherapy, and more radiation. As a result he cannot have any more lung surgery because he has very little lung left. Last summer the Sarcoma returned in the right knee and once again Jerry faced knee surgery and chemotherapy.
Jerry is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Roswell Park. He will never be cured of this disease. The chemotherapy is being given in the hope that the treatment will prevent the cancer from spreading to other parts of his body.
Jerry has 1 son, Thom and 2 step children, Kevin and Kelly. He has been married to his wife, Karen for 13 years. Anyone who knows Jerry knows how much he loves life and helping others. He is a licensed plumber who has spent 50 years in volunteer fire service. He also is the Sargent of Arms at the WNY Gas and Steam Association.
Jerry wakes up every morning determined to beat cancer with the love, support, and prayers of his family and friends.
As a result of all of his surgeries and treatment Jerry and Karen have a mountain of medical bills that are threatening ability to keep their home and vehicles. Please help us raise the funds needed to help Jerry and Karen. Jerry won’t give up and neither will we.
