Friends of Jason Memorial Concert & Fundraiser

Friends of Jason is a night of music dedicated to the memory of our friend and fellow musician Jason Abdulsalam Disu. We are also raising funds in his honor to support organizations that provide resources for youth pursuing the arts in underserved communities. 

Jason Disu was a celebrated musician in the New York City music scene, championed for his work ethic, versatile music abilities, gregariousness, and uncanny wisdom. Those participating in our tribute are just a small collection of bandmates and collaborators representative of the incredible variety of styles and genres Jason had mastered. Beyond his accomplishments as an eclectic musical talent, Jason was also a great friend and mentor - and in this spirit - we will be donating most of our ticket sales to causes fostering creativity among the next generation.

Please join us in remembering the life of our friend Jason on Friday, July 30th, 9pm at Wild Birds (951 Dean St, Brooklyn, NY). The night features DJ sets from Pat Mahoney, Dennis McNany, Nancy Whang and Andrew Raposo, as well as live performances from The Latin Explosion and Choosy Lover.
