Annual Mason 5K: Friends of Jaclyn Fundraiser

The High Point Women's Lacrosse team is having their annual fundraiser for the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. FOJ is a non-profit organization that depends on your contributions and support to improve the quality of life for children battling pediatric brain tumors and other childhood cancers.

FOJ connects these children with local sports teams in an effort to create lasting memories and relationships.

The High Point Women's Lacrosse team was lucky enough to have Mason LaVack as honorary captain for the 2011 season, before he passed the following fall.

"His spirit lives in all who met him. He was brave beyond his years and his courage is legendary. He taught us about life. He taught us about ourselves. He made us better people. He was a hero and he will be missed."

In honor of Mason, High Point Women’s Lacrosse will be hosting the 12th annual Mason 5K on April 13th. The “race” begins at 8 am and will include prizes, music, and more. Please join us at Vert Stadium as we give back to the foundation that gave us Mason.

All proceeds will go towards the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation.
