Technology provides the path to connect every vulnerable child in foster care to a healthy, bright future.

Family search and engagement efforts reduce childhood trauma and keep children connected to their extended family members and other trusted support networks like teachers, coaches, friends of the family, and neighbors. Up until two years ago, child welfare professionals were building out family trees using Google searches, post-it notes, Word docs, and Excel spreadsheets.

With the help of trusted advisors, family, and friends, in March of 2020, Connect Our Kids launched innovative technology to scale up the most successful family search and engagement efforts in the nation. . Connect Our Kids Family Connections and People Search tools reduce the time needed to search for the family by 60% and find 6.5 times more connections compared to traditional methods.

Today, more than 1500 child welfare professionals are using their tech to quickly find permanent families and identify supportive connections for children stuck in an antiquated foster care system. Because of these grassroots efforts, and partnerships with forward-leaning leaders, Connect Our Kids' technology tools have helped to connect 7,000 children to loving extended family members and other supportive adults.

Connect Our Kids aims to double (or even triple) the number of children served by the end of 2022, but they can't do this life-changing work without you or me.
