Friends & Neighbors for Melissa

A nightmare come true - On July 8th, Melissa, young mother of four, was involved in a terrible
car jacking. She was beaten and her foot was run over when she jumped out of the moving vehicle to escape.  She was ambulanced to St. Mary's Trama Unit but is home recovering currently.  The attacker was caught and is now in jail, but Melissa's car (new at Christmas) was totaled.

Melissa is a valued member of our  West Palm Beach community well known for her countless hours of volunteer work in protecting and propagating butterflies as well as teaching people of all ages about the importance of and how to grow pollinator plants.  

She is facing medical bills and attorney fees as well as a long recovery and is currently without income.  She is unable to walk right now and has four children to take care of.

Please join us in coming to Melissa's aid and helping her get back on her feet after this terrible incident.  Let's show her that this community is full of good people who take care of and support each other and restore her faith in humanity which is a little shaken right now to say the least.
