Friend's mom lost her home

A friend of mine's parents just lost their home in the Ventura fire, and are now in dire straits.  They are both retired and living on a fixed income.  Everyone's seen the devastation the fires have caused in Ventura.  Today, as a favor to my friend, I decided to start this funding account to see if anyone out there can help out.   I put $1000 in the "goal" because I had to put a number, and I simply didn't know where to start.  Any amount donated would be greatly appreciated. My name is Gene Babitchenko, you can find me on facebook to verify that I'm a real person, not just trying to scam anyone.  I'd like to leave off the names of those it's actually for, just to avoid any embarrassment for them.  They have not asked for this type of help, but they need any help they can get in this emergency situation. *Update... thanks to everyone who has been generous enough to help out. Every bit helps. A complication has arose, and in addition to what's already a detrimental situation, I've learned that my friend's mom has had medical complications and will need to be hospitalized. Those that know me know that I'm not a religious person... but I still ask that everyone send their prayers for her recovery, as well as a donation. As usual... when it rains, it pours.
