Freezer for Laureen

Laureen lives in Makwasa, Malawi. She is the oldest daughter of a family who founded the „Sten Alex and Ruth Children’s Home“. Alex and Ruth have been a good friends of mine for many years. Ruth and Laureen started a small business in which they make and sell juices and snacks and a variety of local products. The business helps support the home and Laureen’s final semester at college where she studies to become a teacher. With the passing of Ruth earlier this year, Laureen has become the mother figure for the home and is running the business by herself. The business is doing well and the demand for her goods keep growing. In order to meet this demand she wants to increase her production but needs a way to store the perishables. Laureen asked if I could help her to get a fridge/freezer for her business. We found a second-hand one in good condition which will cost about €100. This is the actual goal of this campaign. I have set the campaign target higher because I’d like to raise some extra money to send as an investment into her business. Please consider supporting her and thank-you if you do. Ekkehart.
