Freya and Echo on there road to Crufts 2023

Update 12/1/2023 any donations after midnight tonight will go to a child’s cancer charity as I feel we have exceeded the goal immensely that was originally set and can’t thank everyone enough. This will close at midnight 13/03/2023

I just wanted to share a very special day!

This is Freya, she’s just turned 8yrs of age. This time last year she was too weak to walk, as she’s been fighting stage 4 Wilm’s tumour since December 2022. Last year she watched Crufts on tv and decided she wanted to go to Crufts as a handler.

Today at Boston, she made it into the ring with her sweet natured puppy, Echo, and qualified for Crufts 2023!

She managed to get there today, despite the fact she only got home from hospital in the early hours of this morning.

Today was the most special day in the 23yrs I’ve been showing.

Freya comes to my little niche ringcraft class which is mainly made up of people with disabilities and health issues. Bizarrely, we were the only ringcraft to agree to train Freya, so her mum drives her an hour each way to attend classes.

Thank you to everyone who came to talk to her today and offer words of encouragement. She had a lovely judge and Alan Seymour very kindly bought her first rosette!
