Covid-19: YYC & YEG Emergency Food Baskets

Update: We are raising our goal to $25,000; with the unprecedented challenges that COVID-19 brought on individuals and communities around the world, food access has become a heightened barrier for many.
This is a fundraiser to provide emergency food baskets with contactless delivery for families and others at-risk due to the Covid-19 virus. With your support, we will safely deliver food baskets to the homes of neighbours in need.
$25 creates an emergency food basket with extra produce to be safely delivered, without contact, to families and individuals in emergency situations. As of May 5, the COVID Emergency Delivery Program has delivered $22,585 worth of food to 2550 people. Our new goal of $25,000 will provide food baskets recipients in Edmonton or Calgary.
We are Fresh Routes , a mobile grocery store, and we exist to ensure everyone has safe access to healthy and affordable food. During the current Covid-19 crisis, many families and seniors are left vulnerable, or forced to risk the health and safety of themselves and others by entering high traffic areas such as grocery stores.
This would be impossible without our amazing partner H&W Produce and our incredible team of volunteers; you can also get involved & support the cause by volunteering! Let's work together to ensure food access for all, help people stay safe, and flatten the curve. If we exceed our goal of $10,000, we will continue to expand our services & offer food baskets to more families!
