The Freedom Within Prison Project freedomwithinproject.org has been leading weekly groups inside Salinas Valley State Prison, Santa Cuz County Jail and Rountree Medium Facility for years. Through endless dedication, Warrior brothers Malcolm Dydo, Marc L'Ecluse, Jay Saber, Luke Lehman and Jim Urgo continue to further the organization's mission of "reducing violence and recidivisim by facilitating the transformation of incarcerated men".
We have enrolled and are sponsoring eight, formerly incarcerated men from our program for the upcoming Urban New Warrior Training Adventure in Oakland this May. We are pleased to include the father of one of these participants as well. These men are primed for this experience!
We humbly ask that you offer your financial support of this program and these men. Please help defray the costs incurred to get these men through the New Warrior Training: curriculum development, printing of curriculum materials, NWTA registration fees, van rental, gas and other associated expenses.
Freedom Within Prison Project is also preparing to start a weekly group for the reentry of these men into the Santa Cruz community. We will provide the support needed as they continue their transformation from a world of abuse, addiction, gangs and incarceration, into a world of self awareness, emotional intelligence, vulnerability and empowerment. It's our profound honor to support these men and their families.
Your heartfelt donation ensures that these men will feel the awakening so many of us have experienced through our work with the Mankind Project.
