I grew up in a family whose first love was the bush with it’s peaceful ways, and where valuable lessons could be taught and learned if you took the time to notice gods grand design laid before you ..
Hunting, trapping, fishing, camping in the wild .. so many memories still vivid in my mind. I am still somewhat able to get out, although in frequently these past years, things changed a great deal in my late teens while on a weekend campout where I damaged my spinal cord in a diving accident that left me paralyzed basically from the shoulders down. Trying times for sure, and also having been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease just shy of 10 years ago , like so many others, my life certainly has its challenges but I still have a zest for adventure and I wish to live my life to the fullest while I am still able..
I have rarely been one to ask for much help, but sometimes you need to swallow your pride in order to further yourself, and so I now plead my case to all you good people out there for assistance.
My goal, with your help, is to raise enough money to purchase a (Track chair), which in its basic form is a wheelchair for uneven ground, i.e. the bush. It is of course electric, and is driven on tracks, The wild places are where I am most at home, at my happiest and my best, having this chair would once again open up that world so much more than at present. Any donation, large or small would be accepted both graciously and humbly with my lifelong gratitude to those good souls able to give a hand . Here below is a photo of the gift I am seeking ..
