Off Island Heart Surgery Fred Sablan

Hafa Adai Family and Friends,

 In May of this year our father Frederick “Fred” Tudela Sablan went to see his local doctor for his annual physical, at that appointment the doctors results reported he was experiencing heart problems and was referred for further testing off island. Last week, during his medical checkup at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, California, doctors conducted multiple tests which have concluded that he will need emergency open heart surgery on July 25, 2017 to perform a triple bypass and heart valve replacements which he is expected to remain hospitalized and in recovery for approximately two to three months.

Fred is especially vulnerable to the high risk associated with a surgery of this magnitude, because of an abnormal heart formation.

Those who know our father Fred can attest to his strength, courage and perseverance as the family man he is. He is a loving individual that gives from his heart, who puts others before himself, loves to make everyone around him laugh, enjoys his dogs, but most of all his family and friends. On behalf of his wife, Dolores “Lola”, children, Therese, Ray, and Lei Lani, we humbly ask for your support to assist Fred with this unexpected emergency heart surgery and recovery he will be receiving.
