Fred's Fight Against Guillain Barre

Donation protected
In September 2017 our beloved husband, father, relative, and friend was diagnosed with West Nile Virus from a mosquito bite, and although the virus has been treated, it triggered an immune disorder known as Guillain-Barre Syndrome. GBS is the body’s own immune system attacking the peripheral nervous system, which has damaged his nerve cells and left him partially paralyzed with only limited movement in extremities.

Fred Cichorz is a hard-working electrician who leads a healthy and active lifestyle who just a few months ago was enjoying the New Jersey summer paddle boarding and spending time with family, but now he is confined to a wheelchair unable to achieve daily tasks we all take for granted. Fred has always been there for those who need him, now it is our turn to be there for him!

After weeks in the ICU with a feeding tube and IVIG treatments the harsh road to recovery has begun which include physical and occupational therapies. But with minimal insurance coverage and time lost from work for Fred and his wife, it has caused a financial burden for our family. With your help we may be able to achieve funds needed for continuing therapy, medical supplies, and home renovation to accommodate wheelchair accessibility. On behalf of our family we appreciate the generosity for those who have been assisting in anyway through this process.

Please help us win this fight in his road to recovery.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated, thank you all and God bless.
