Fred Mootz' Moms funeral expense

Carolyn DiPietro selflessly gave of herself every day. She took care of others without a second thought and always had a kind word/smile for everyone she met. She was raising her beautiful 4 year old grandson, as well as her handsome adult son, who battles Downs Syndrome. She had a total of three children & her wonderful second son, Fred Mootz checked on her every single day, to make certain that she was never in need. Fred was never far from home, as he didn't want to leave his mom without help, in case she needed it. Fred has two step children, who are his pride and joy. His step son, Gavin is in his sophomore year at Ohio University, and his step daughter, Paige is finishing her junior year in high school. She's also a star softball player on her high school team. Over spring break, an opportunity arose that she and her team could compete in a softball tournament in Myrtle Beach. Although Fred was apprehensive to leave his mom, she assured him that everything would be fine and he should go enjoy time with his family. Unfortunately, that wasn't to be the case. On April 13th, Carolyn decided to take a little nap on the couch, and never awoke. Her precious grandson had tried to wake her, and when that didn't work, he went outside and found a kind stranger that called 911. Unfortunately, it was too late. Carolyn was gone. Fred's heart is broken that he wasn't here. Now that the time has come to plan for services and a memorial, the family has found that Carolyn had no life insurance. Funeral expenses are staggering, in any situation, but with the sole responsibility on Fred's shoulders, it's more than he can handle.
