Fred Pinto Transplant Fund

We are the family of Fernando (Fred) Pinto.  Hoping to help him with his upcoming medical expenses associated with a Liver Transplant. Fred was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) which is an extreme form of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) back in 2011 with unknown causes. Since then he has been treating this condition in addition to his Diabetes condition which he has been treating since 1997 with medication. This year unfortunately, his Liver Disease has gotten to the point that he needs to undergo a transplant to counteract the health complications he is facing. Fred is currently undergoing evaluation to see if he can get approved and be placed on the transplant list. As part of the evaluation he needs to be able to show funds available for the post-surgery anti-rejection medication which is very expensive and will require him to take for the rest of his life.  

As his closest family members we would like to help him with this needed funding that he must show the transplant team will be available for him.  They are looking for him to have $10k + available funding just for his medication.  We are assisting as best we can, a couple of us have planned to be with him for the weeks/months prior and after the transplant and assist in all those ways, but are hoping to receive some monetary assistance to give him some relief about all the medical expenses coming up.
