Franklin's 105mi for Nepal

Nepal is one of my favorite countries to visit, so I was quite sad to hear about the devastation that the 2015 earthquake had brought. The earthquake has impacted the lives of many and recovery is still ongoing.
For my entry to the 2018 Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (105mi ultramarathon around Mont Blanc) in September, I have taken up a solidarity bib and pledged my efforts to a French charity called Les Amis de Children's Home . Their mission is to help rebuild Nepalese mountain communities affected by the earthquake with a special focus on rebuilding structures used to serve children.
With the money we raise, Les Amis de Children's Home will renovate the high school of Melamchi (located 65km from Kathmandu, google maps: Melamchi) and have hopes of constructing a secondary school in the mountains. More information about this year's project and history: link.
I hope you will join me in supporting my efforts towards this amazing cause. I will submit all donations to the organization on May 1, 2018. I look forward to returning to Nepal for many more adventures, great stories, and to visit the school that your support will help build!
I will surely keep you all in mind as I train for one of the hardest and most challenging events of my life, the UTMB . For this race, I will run a 105 mile circuit around Mont Blanc over the course of 2 days.
