Our colleague and dear friend Francisco Gonzalez succumbed to a long-term illness and passed away on November 26, 2017. Francisco was a project management specialist in the Democracy, Human Rights and Governance office and had been a local staff member for 13+ years.
Francisco's friends and colleagues at USAID acknowledge his enormous professional contributions and to all he touched with his kindness and generosity.
USAID will remember Francisco for his kindness, intelligence, serenity, and friendship. The Democracy, Human Rights and Governance office in particular will be forever thankful for Francisco's positive attitude and his readiness to always help colleagues and friends.
Francisco was a man devoted to his family, which was the most important element of his life, he deeply loved and respected his children and his wife. The USAID family will always have him and his family in our hearts.
We have set up this fund to raise money for Francisco's wife and two children, who survive him.
