Bio Cartilage Surgical Procedure

Donation protected
Hello and thanks for your time,

My name is Francesco Caban and I am a Parkour and Freerunning teacher at a Gym in Scottsdale Arizona teaching ages 4-70 years old the art of Parkour and Acrobatics.  In December of 2016 I sustained an injuryto my Knee Cartilage on an Air Floor at another gym that was not aired up properly and it caused my Cartilage to suffer a grade 2 Lesion. This means I cannot jump with full power and it debilitates me if I do so.

I can still do many things but I "Cannot" Jump or take landings. Those of you that have been watching my recent videos will have noticed a big change in my activity.

I do have insurance but will not cover this procedure and I do not believe in suing people when they have been a part of your development as an athlete over a single injury that was because of just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I have been to a couple of Knee Experts and they agree that no physical therapy can help this problem and that Bio Cartilage is the best procedure that could fix my Knee. However, it does require surgery and my Insurance does not cover enough of the procedure for me to take care of it any time soon. It will take me close to a year to save up the money to this procedure and that is why I am looking to the Community to help me.

The Procedure requires that they open up my knee and clean out the lesion. Then they will use my blood platelets and build a paste that will build new cartilage on my knee. It will take up to 9 months to recover from it but I feel I can recover quicker because I am a very active person.

I believe in Community. Being a Parkour Athlete is all about community. When one person is not strong enough to continue the rest of the community works harder to help that person out. I have donated to many fund raisers to help others recover and I hope some of that Karma comes back my way. Either way I am prepared to take on this task one way or the other. That's another thing Parkour has taught me the art of training for obstacles both Physical and Mental.

The Surgical Facility Costs between $5,000-$6,000and. The Surgery Itself Costs $2400 and other charges may be added on.

I plan to keep teaching and performing for many years. Giving back to the community that has given me so much.  As a leader in the Parkour Community I want to continue to inspire others to follow their dreams and passions to move.
