Sue's medical fund

Susan Davis is a wife, mother and grandmother of 4 with her 5th on the way. Also affectionately known as Mrs. Davis to friends, co workers and fellow OLV students and parents: Cristina-1996, Mike-1999, Allison-2003.
She is a long time resident of Floral Park, NY and is described by those who know her best as thoughtful,  kind, always thinking of others and eager to help anyone in need, never looking for anything in return.  Susan now finds herself in need and we have decided to launch this go fund me to help her through this difficult time.


Susan was diagnosed with * Pulmonary Fibrosis with a life expectancy of 4-5 years without a lung transplant, and that was 4 years ago.  She was recently approved for a lung transplant and has been placed on the UNOS list.  Her insurance company denied the transplant being done in New York and she now finds that she must travel to Philadelphia, PA (the closest treatment center approved by her insurance company).  Without this transplant Susan was given 6-12 months to live.  She needs help with making this life saving trip a reality.  


Susan needs help with the cost of her husband's travel to Philadelphia which includes a week for testing followed by a minimum of 2 weeks recovery and then follow up appointments.  She will also be on anti rejection medication after the transplant that are only partially covered by her insurance and a full time nurse for at least a month after the surgery.


Any amount would help, as little as $10 would make a difference to this amazing person who still has a long life to live.
